How do you play the Quick Dailies — Equatle, Target, Sequence Set, Symbol Sums and Daily Estimate?
The Quick Dailies are five short puzzles that change every day, the same for everyone. Equatle is Wordle with an equation, Target is reach-the-number in 60 seconds, Sequence Set is finding four hidden triples, Symbol Sums is working out what each shape is worth, and Daily Estimate is one guess against the crowd.
What they have in common
- One puzzle a day, the same for everyone. The result screen counts down to the next one.
- Each has its own streak. Solve on consecutive days to grow it. Miss exactly one day and a streak freeze saves it if you have one; lose the daily and the streak ends.
- One free hint per round — the 💡 button at the top.
- After you finish: Share, Challenge a friend, and Play Endless for extra rounds.
- Every game has a short tutorial the first time and an ⓘ button with the rules.
Equatle
“Wordle, but the word is an equation.”
- “Guess the hidden 6-symbol equation in 5 tries. Every guess must be a true equation, like 9*8=72.”
- After each guess the tiles change colour: green ✓ is the right symbol in the right place, amber ~ is in the equation but somewhere else, grey ✗ is not in it at all. The keyboard keys are coloured the same way.
- “Two green tiles start in place: the = sign and one more symbol.” Type the rest with the digit and operator keys, then tap ↵.
Fewer guesses and a quicker time give a higher score. The hint “Reveal one symbol” locks the leftmost unknown symbol into your row. With Premium there is also a longer Maxi daily (8 symbols, up to two operators), a hard mode and your guess distribution.
| Message | Why you see it |
|---|---|
| Fill all 6 tiles first | You pressed ↵ before filling the row |
| That isn’t a valid equation | The symbols don’t form an equation |
| That equation isn’t true | Both sides don’t come out the same |
Target
“Six numbers. One target. 60 seconds.”
- “Tap a number, an operator, then another number to combine them into a new tile.”
- “Every tile can be used once — new tiles count too. Undo if you go wrong.”
- “Division must be exact and results can’t go negative; those taps are ignored.”
- “Hit the target exactly for the top score, or get within 10 to keep your streak.”
The panel under the target shows the closest you’ve got so far. Tap Submit when you’re happy, or wait for the clock. The hint “Show a first step” suggests a move but adds 15 seconds. In Endless you can pick Easy, Medium or Hard targets. Premium shows every solution and adds Hectoc — “Six digits in order — make exactly 100”.
Sequence Set
“Twelve numbers, four hidden triples, one minute.”
- “Twelve numbers hide four groups of three. Every group shares one rule — like +7 each, all squares or all primes.”
- “Tap three tiles. If they share a rule, they lock in gold and the rule appears above the board.”
- “Wrong trio? The tiles shake and cost 10 points. Keep going — you have 60 seconds.”
- “Find at least two groups to keep your streak. Find all four for a time bonus.”
The rules you’ll meet: the same step each time (+N), multiplying each time (×N), all squares, a run of triangular numbers, a Fibonacci run, all powers of 2, all primes, all multiples of one number, and numbers whose digits add up to the same total. The result screen lists every triple and its rule; Premium adds an explanation of each one.
Symbol Sums
“Three shapes, three equations. Each shape hides a number. Work out all of them.”
- Three shapes stand for three different numbers — the line under the board tells you the range, for example “All values are different · 1–50”.
- “The equations tell you how they relate — start with the one that has only one shape.”
- “Type a value for each shape and tap Check. Right ones lock; wrong ones add 10 s.”
- “Stuck? A hint reveals one shape. Lower time wins.”
Tap a shape’s box to select it, type its value on the number pad, then move to the next. Give up reveals the answer but scores 0. In Endless you can choose 3 shapes, or 4 and 5 with Premium.
Daily Estimate
“One question a day that nobody knows offhand. Estimate it.”
- “Read the question — it always has one exact whole-number answer.”
- “Type your best estimate and lock it in. One guess, no timer, no hints.”
- “See the answer and your accuracy: 100 for exact, 0 when you’re 10× off.”
- “Then see the crowd — where everyone else guessed and how you rank.”
To appear in the crowd you need to be signed in. Instead of Endless, Daily Estimate has Practice rounds. Premium adds Calibration & friends — whether your guesses lean high or low over time, and where your friends landed.
Frequently asked questions
- What happens to my streak if I lose a Quick Daily?
- A lost daily ends that game's streak straight away, and streak freezes never cover a loss. A freeze only covers a day you missed completely — each Quick Daily has its own, one a month (four with Premium).
- What is Endless?
- After you've played today's daily, the card's button becomes Endless (Practice for Daily Estimate) for extra rounds. You get three a day in each game; Premium makes them unlimited. Endless rounds don't change your streak.
- How do hints work in the Quick Dailies?
- Each round has one free hint; after that a hint costs 5 credits, or they are unlimited with Premium. A hint always carries the same time or score cost for everyone, so a ranked result can't be bought.
- Can I challenge a friend on a Quick Daily?
- Yes. After you finish, tap Challenge a friend. Your friend plays the same puzzle and you both see a side-by-side comparison of score, time and mistakes.
