How do Marathon, Speed Blitz and Zen Practice work?

Marathon serves endless puzzles that get harder as you go, with a health bar instead of lives. Speed Blitz gives you 60, 90 or 120 seconds to solve as many as you can. Zen Practice has no timer and no lives — you choose the puzzle types and difficulty.

Marathon

“How far can you go? Endless puzzles with rising difficulty.”

  • Puzzles keep coming until your health bar runs out. A wrong answer takes away a quarter of it; a correct answer gives some back.
  • Difficulty goes up every 5 puzzles.
  • Answer correctly in a row to build a streak multiplier, up to 4× — the number next to your score. A wrong answer resets it.
  • Get a Hint is free once per puzzle and costs no health. Show Explanation is a Premium extra here.
  • When health hits zero you can Revive for 25 credits (the rest of the run isn’t ranked) or end the run and see your score and best.

Speed Blitz

“Race against the clock to solve as many as you can!”

  1. Choose your time limit: 60s, 90s or 120s, then tap Start!
  2. Solve as many puzzles as you can before time runs out.
  3. “Wrong answers cost 5 seconds — accuracy matters!”

Your score is the number of puzzles solved, and the app keeps a separate best for each time limit. There are no hints in Speed Blitz. When time is up you can Play Again, Change Time Tier or share your result.

Zen Practice

“Practice at your own pace” — no timer, no lives.

  1. Select categories: Sequences, Outliers, Equations, Transforms and Operators (keep at least one).
  2. Select difficulty: Easy, Medium or Hard.
  3. Tap Start Practice.

After each answer you see Correct! or Wrong! The answer was …, together with the explanation of the rule. Tap Next Puzzle to carry on, or Back to Setup to change what you’re practising.

Frequently asked questions

How many wrong answers can I make in Marathon?
Each wrong answer drains a quarter of your health bar, and each correct answer gives a little back, so four wrong answers in a row end the run.
Does Speed Blitz give everyone the same puzzles?
Yes — on a given day, every player gets the same puzzles for the same time limit, so best scores are comparable.
Does Zen Practice count towards anything?
It keeps its own Attempted and Accuracy counters and earns a little XP, but there is no score to beat and nothing to lose.
