Weather is not updating

Check location permission first. Weather sync needs it to know which location to fetch. Without it, the app cannot fill in a condition and will tell you so.

Then give it time. The data refreshes periodically, not continuously. The Weather Settings screen shows the last update time and the observation time, which tells you whether you are looking at stale data or no data.

If you do not want to grant location, switch the weather mode from Auto to Manual and pick the condition yourself. It works permanently, with no permission and no network.

The app’s own disclaimer is worth repeating here, because it explains a lot of apparent bugs: weather data is updated periodically and may not reflect current conditions, and the feature is for visual enhancement only — not weather forecasting. See Weather.

The sky is at the wrong time of day

The sky is calculated from your latitude, longitude and the date. If it looks out of step with your window, the location is almost always why.

If you are using Manual selection, that is expected — the app itself warns the setting “will provide poorer results and requires to manually pick up the country you are located”. A country is a wide area, and sunrise at one edge can be well off sunrise at the other.

Switch on Precise location for the accurate result. It needs Android’s location permission and gives, in the app’s words, “the most accurate results”.

Also check the time-of-day override. If you set the Time of day by hand at some point, the sky is frozen there deliberately. Turn the override off to resume tracking the real Sun. See Day, night and moon.

Rain on glass will not turn on

It is unavailable in Paper Cut, Pixel Art, Minimal and Paper Cut v2. This is by design, not a fault — those four styles use flat, graphic artwork that the glass effect would fight against.

Switch to any other style and the option becomes available. Every other weather effect works in all 18 styles.

A style will not download

Some scene styles ship their artwork as a separate download to keep the app small. If one will not load, the app will say which of these applies:

Play Store unavailable	The download comes through Google Play; retry when it is reachable
Download did not finish	Use Try again

Once a style has downloaded, it works offline like any other.

The wallpaper did not change after switching style

Android occasionally keeps the previous wallpaper surface alive. The app has a Re-apply action for exactly this — described as “Re-apply Seasons as your wallpaper”. Use it and the new style takes effect.

If your problem is not here, the app has a feedback screen built in, which is the fastest route to someone who can look at it. This page only lists causes we can confirm from how the app actually behaves, so it is deliberately short rather than padded with guesses.
